What "best" means on this site

Every ranking here comes out of the same formula, applied the same way to every product in every category: what the label delivers against the dose used in published research, what verified buyers report, and what one serving costs. Nothing else moves a position. Not the size of the brand, not the packaging, not whether anyone is paying us.

That is a narrower definition of "best" than most roundups use, and it produces different answers. A cheap tablet from a supermarket brand outranks a boutique capsule when the elemental dose is honest and the price per serving is a fifth. A well-marketed product drops when its formula hides behind a proprietary blend.

Why five categories and not fifty

We rate a category only once we can read every label in it, price every serving, and point at the research the doses are measured against. That work takes weeks per category. Publishing a ranking we cannot defend would make this site the thing it exists to correct.

The five live now are testosterone boosters, men's sexual health, magnesium, electrolytes and ashwagandha. Protein, creatine, pre-workout, vitamin D and omega-3 are next.

Rankings change, and we say when

Brands reformulate quietly. A serving size shrinks, a form swaps from glycinate to oxide, a price rises. When we can verify the new label we re-score against it; when we cannot, the product is marked unverified rather than quietly re-rated on a guess. Changes are logged with a date and a reason, so a position that moves comes with an explanation you can check.

If you want the reasoning before the results, the whole method is public in How We Rate. If you want to test a product we have not covered, the Label Dose Checker runs the same comparison yourself.
