Brands, rated for honesty

A brand hub is not an endorsement. It's a plain read on how transparent a company is about doses and testing.

What makes a supplement brand good

Three things, and none of them is how the bottle looks. Does the brand publish a dose for every active ingredient, or hide the split inside a proprietary blend. Does it carry third-party testing, and across the whole range rather than one flagship product. And when it puts a studied ingredient on the front of the label, is the amount inside anywhere near the amount in the research.

Those are the questions each brand page answers, alongside how that brand's products actually scored in our rankings.

A good brand can still sell a weak product

This is the part a "best brands" list usually skips. Transparency is a floor, not a guarantee. A company can disclose every dose honestly and still sell a formula built around an ingredient the evidence has walked away from — and we have rated exactly that. Equally, a supermarket brand nobody writes about can produce the cheapest honest magnesium on the market.

So the brand page tells you what to expect from a catalogue, and the product reviews tell you whether the specific thing in your basket earns its price.

How a brand ends up here

A brand gets a page once we have rated enough of its products to say something supported. No brand pays to appear, and no brand has been given a page in exchange for anything. Placements that are paid for are labelled as such and sit outside the editorial ranking entirely — the terms are on our partners page.
